Cooperative Extension To Offer Beekeeping Beginning in September

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Cooperative Extension will offer a free, six-week beekeeping course starting on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. The course will cover the basic information necessary to get started in beekeeping and will prepare students for the practical beekeeping course that will be taught in the spring of 2027.


The beekeeping course will be held on Thursday evenings for six weeks at the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension office, located at 301 E. Mountain Drive, Fayetteville. Course dates are Sept. 24, Oct. 1, Oct. 15, Oct. 22, Oct. 29 and Nov. 5.

 

The course is free, but preregistration with Eventbrite is requested. Each class requires a separate registration. For registration questions, contact Susan Johnson at 910-321-6405. For more information about the course, contact Kenny Bailey at kenneth_bailey@ncsu.edu.
